Characters and Setting

Setting: France in the early 1500's. The four who lived through the attack of the giant (Cinderella, the Baker, Jack, and Little Red Riding Hood) have all banded together to rebuild their lives after the attack. Names have been changed to the French to authenticate the setting.

Cendrillon – commonly known as Cinderella, she is the one who keeps their home running. She cooks, cleans, and cares for both Armellee and the Baker's son, Mathieu. Her ex-husband, the crown prince, knows nothing of his daughter, as Cendrillon didn't know she was pregnant when she left and has not spoken to him since.

Armellee – Cendrillon's daughter by her ex-husband, the crown prince. Armellee's father does not know that she exists.

Etienne – also known as “Rapunzel's prince,” Etienne means “crowned one.” Etienne is not quite happily married to his Neige Blanche and, although she is quite sweet and kind, he secretly longs for his dead wife. Although he loves them dearly, he cannot even begin to see his children, Mirielle and Percival. Even tiny Joie, Blanche's first child, rarely sees her father. He soon sets out to cure himself of his pain, along with his brother Phillipe.

Philippe – Cendrillon's prince, now the king of France. Phillipe is now married to a beautiful maiden named Aurora whom he rescued from a tower at the end of the show. She has borne him no children as of yet, unlike his brother's wife, who is already in her confinement with a second child, despite having been married only a year and a half. He sets out to find if it is his problem or his beauty's, and in doing so, encounters the beautiful Cendrillon again. She refuses to tell him of their daughter, thus, when he meets the girl, fireworks begin to fly.

Lowell – the Baker. The Baker finds himself slowly falling in love with the beautiful Cendrillon. Although he misses his wife greatly, he eventually begins to heal and discovers how truly sweet and beautiful Cendrillon truly is.

Mathieu – Lowell's young son.

Jacques – known in English as Jack. Although Jacques is not the brightest of all men, he does have eyes, and it swiftly becomes obvious that love is in the air for more than just Lowell and Cendrillon. Jacques is finding himself slowly but surely being drawn to the fierce charms of the bratty Rougieme. Unfortunately, no one is the cottage has been very lucky in love, and so Jacques feels he must keep his passion to himself.

Rougieme - Little Red Riding Hood is now sixteen, and refuses to be called “Petite Rouge.” She instead calls herself Rougieme and, although as unruly as ever, has grown into a handsome young woman. Handsome enough to call to her the attention of every young man in the kingdom, including the wandering, struggling Etienne and Phillipe. Uh oh!

Marquise – Although most of the world knows her as simply “The Witch,” Marquise does have a name, a past, and a heart. Most think that she is dead, but she was simply banished for a few years to the unknown. Now she's back... with her beauty and her powers. And she runs into Etienne... the prince who stole her beloved Rapunzel from her years ago. Guess what. She's not happy at all.

Manon – Cendrillon's step-mother.

Lucinde – Stepsister #1.

Florinde – Stepsister #2

Marcel – the Steward

Eriq – Cendrillon's father
